Food For Thought
Intellectual worker, brain worker or knowledge worker is known as an intensive brain user. His brain is his important asset whereas his thought is the product. As it is the case for a machine requires gasoline and oil to operate, brain will need sufficient supplies to work. I am an intellectual worker myself and need enough supplies to make me work. Glad I got my portable brain feeder this month, that is PlayStation Portable (PSP). It keeps my brain working.
It is debatable either Sony PSP or Nintendo DS is the best portable gaming console ever. Latest sales figure of both devices shows Nintendo sold more DS than Sony sold PSP. However, I would pick PSP over DS just because it has more features and more importantly it has the game I want. PSP has one but wide screen of 4.3 inches. On the other hand, DS equipped with two smaller screens. Well, I could not find any good reason of playing a game in two separated screens. The latest PSP version (PSP-3000) has built-in wi-fi, microphone and pre-installed with Skype client. It let me make a phone call to Indonesia as long as I could find wireless hotspot, which happens to be available at home and at school.
Last week, Konami released its award winning game Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 or known as Winning Eleven in Indonesia. This might be the major reason of why I pick PSP over DS. I don’t really buy into cute game such as Mario Bros or Legend of Zelda. I look for rush and adrenaline-pumping type of game. Take for example, the adventure of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider series, or speed driving with Need For Speed, and of course sports game such as Pro Evolution Soccer. PSP offers this kind of game more than DS would have. No brainer, pick PSP and keep the brain works.
I never ever like to play Winning Eleven games….
You know why? i didnt like games with no storyLine on it. Try other genre such as RPG. Final Fantasy, Wild Arms, Xenogears, etc. I think RPG games are more ‘keep-the-brain-works’ than Winnig Eleven or other soccer game. But i agree with you, Tomb Raider is a good games….
